This neat littleĀ Plated Steel Slide latch consists ofĀ a sliding plate assembly and a 'cotton-reel' bush.
The sliding latch assembly is attachedĀ to the hinged or removable panel and the bush isĀ mounted to the fixed panel below.
When the lid or panelĀ is closed, sliding section is slid along, locating aroundĀ the bush to resist opening under vibration and shockĀ loads.
Washers can be installed under the bush to accomodateĀ different panel thicknesses.
